Inside a nature reserve
Wild Nature Lodge is set within globally renowned reserve, with over 240 bird species. Several mammals reside in and around the lodge. The lodge offers self-contained accommodation.
LOCATION
Despite being in the heart of nature, the lodge is fully accessible by self-drive 2-wheel drive. The lodge is located approximately 25 minutes from Mareeba., in Far North Queensland.

With only 3 rooms, the lodge offers an intimate experience with nature. Wake up to the chorus of bird calls, and book onto our Nocturnal Creatures Tour (with a sunset glass of wine or beer included).
For lovers of nature
The lodge is dedicated to providing quiet, peaceful interaction with nature. There are only 3 rooms, and a maximum of 9 guests at any one time! Wildlife is prolific in and around the lodge grounds.
The lodge is self-contained, meaning you can bring your own food (or eat out in the nearby town of Mareeba). It is a short 100m walk between the rooms and the main lodge, where the kitchen is located.
We provide a breakfast hamper in each room for the first day, so you can truly relax.
Wild Nature Lodge is also home to The Orchids Function & Events venue, perfect for wedding or special events.
Where are we?
20km north of Mareeba, in Far Northern Queensland, Australia and only a 90-minute drive from Cairns. The lodge is situated deep inside a private nature reserve in the largest remaining savannah on Earth. Access is on a graded gravel road, suitable for all vehicles.
the rooms
The Boutique Lodge Rooms are luxurious safari-style tents with ensuite bathrooms and your own private deck for relax on. There are only 3 rooms at the Lodge, to ensure you have an incredible wildlife experience.
A wildlife bonanza
The Lodge is only open during the Dry Season from May through October, with the other months given over completely to wildlife. We strongly suggest 2 nights minimum, to enjoy all the lodge has to offer. While there, book onto one of our Nocturnal Creatures Night Walk, starting at sunset – enquire at the lodge.
Access and parking
Any vehicles can access the Lodge, and there is adequate parking for cars and coaches. There is a small section of gravel road, but this is well graded and hire cars are fine.
